Hi,
I am very new to this so I am needing some help.
Can someone please tell me if I enter in advanced editing can I change the background of the photo? As in make a white background behind my object.
I have read through the rules but found them a little confusing.
Thanks in advance

No you can't do a complete background swap. That would violate the rule that says you can't make edits that change the viewers perception of the scene.
The MOST I have seen allowed with changing a background, is when someone used a white sheet as a backdrop, they can get away with adjusting levels and curves on the background in order to get rid of the wrinkles and get a clean white. As long as it does not change the perception of the overall scene. I believe DrAchoo did that on this one:

You can change the color of your background (or any other object), but a blank background must remain blank and a background with significant detail must stay that way, too. For example, you can't change a blue sky with clouds to a clear blue sky, but you could remove a minor jet contrail or two from an otherwise essentially blank sky. If you have any doubts, submit a ticket to the SC for opinions. |
