I notice you got some of those as well Tim and so did quite a lot of other people with good entries. I feel those low scores are handed out to easily and in most cases should not have been handed out. They really bring down your score badly.
On the other hand I also notice that some entries that are well below average got hardly any of those low scores.
I do feel that SC should make some kind of rule whereby you are held accountable for giving a 1 or a 2 and even a 3 by making it a requirement that one you give such a low score you must give a reason for doing so.

Jan - Left a comment. I think the image is well composed with the high vaulted ceiling and the empty church, but there are some detail issues due to the camera limited capabilities (especially the 'starbursts' from the overhead lights) that really impact the overall image.

Please try to understand, I wasn't picking on you when I said it stung. I was just trying to explain that we all have something different in mind when we look at the pictures. Your comment did sting at the time, because I'm too close to my photos. Your comment was probably the most helpful comment I received, because it helped me understand that not everyone sees the world as I do.

Jan - I saw Panasonic Lumix and assumed (incorrectly) that you were using the same camera as mine (a P&S version of the Lumix camera). Sorry to offend, I meant nothing by it and was completely mistaken on the camera equipment.

Cheers,
PEter
