Looks like there are some nice scores around. I just checked mine for the first time and saw my first comment pop up. Haven't had time to check out the other images but am about to.
Pretty happy so far.

There are some very creative images in there- ones that step outside the normal, safe DPC shots. It was fun going through them. I think I gave out more higher scores than I usually do.

I think this may be happening to me also. My score is much lower than yours though. I know it is not a "typical" DPC shot but I like it. |

Mine seems to be starting a slow recovery as well. Nice to have it finally bottom out, I was getting worried there.

hehehe. I wish! Actually I am really pissed off cause the shot I was going to do for action I could not find a way to do properly...
So now I am either going to have to shoot something tomorrow or go with one of 3 or 4 possibles which I do not think would score very well. :(
You know Ben, you are likely about the closest I have seen to being my statistical twin. (you poor guy...)

Thought I had a high five or better, but overwhelmingly the opinion is moving towards "just o.k.". I think I'm going to anticipate low 5's and 4's from now on. One day I'll "get it".

Oh my gosh! I'm trying for the 100% comment club (I want a little award thingy on my profile!) It is terribly difficult! What do you do about the photos that you really, really don't like? I don't even give lower than a 3--but what could I possibly say for a comment? |

if your brave enough then just say "sorry i dont like it, this is why..."
I would rather a comment on my shot saying whats not appealing than just a low score appear. Saying that, im not always brave enough to be able to say that though!!!! |

Well, I finally finished voting/commenting yesterday...and you do have a hard time with the lower scores as you don't like them as much (obviously)...some of the comments that I have received (negative) have helped me to "look" at my photos differently...a while ago  Judi (and others) really encouraged me to comment on all the entries of a challenge (at the time I was selectively commenting) and I will have to tell you, that if you force yourself to "look" at each of the photos you really start to pick up on some things that could improve those pictures, or you see things that you want to learn how to do (because you are studying them)...but I have "bit the bullet" (voting/commenting) and while still trying to find something positive to convey, I still convey what I don't like about the photo (or at least I think do... Yo_Spiff you will have to PM me as to what I screwed up) or what really makes it pop for me...
I also screw around with the voting/commenting (or at least I think I do) many of the people have these "flow charts" and can figure out what you voted and (who you are)...so I vote first (put them in order), then rearrange, comment...change votes...rearrange...add more to other comments...It has been awhile since I got a "nasty note" about something that I said...so this is good...I am learning alot from this site... |
