So, I decided to choose the color of the day by picking a random crayon out of my grandson's crayon bucket. This bucket contains over 200 colorful crayons and a half of a black crayon...which, of course, is the crayon I pulled out of the bucket.

This is a design project I am working on this morning, so I decided to see if it would work for "Color it BLUE"

I started with a white lily, made 4 copies and changed the color on each one using my favorite "Match Color" with various color combinations.

After fussing around with them a bit, I flattened the image and added one more palette full of blue hues.

If you're interested, I'll add more steps to this explanation.

It seems like my "theme" is turning out to be "a color splash". Here's my second pic mostly one color with a splash of another color. Don't know if I can keep it up for a whole month, but we will see.

I have been loving all of the comments I have received. You guys are great! Feel free to bring out the heavy guns on my pictures whenever you want though. I love tough critiques, they really challenge me to do better. Don't worry, I have very thick skin! So, call out all the flaws and lets see if I can challenge myself to improve throughout the month!

Agapantha is four

Agapanthas are just beginning to bloom in my backyard. this one received minimal treatment. Converted from RAW, accentuated the Blues a little in "Selective Colors". Then made a dup. layer and asked for find edges. On that layer, used blending mode "multiply" to intensify the lines and contrasts.
