But she still leaves me a positive comment on it! You gotta like her. I'll see what other hardware I can find. |

I know I said I'd behave.....but at least it's sort of the same thing. This is a place I call Faerie Glen.....I have about a zillion pictures of this place, including two 6+ Free Stduy shots, and I drove to work that way this morning. It's just such a lovely place!

Some snapshots with a purpose, though probably of little interest to most. Julian field is an ancestor of my wife's as well as a local historical figure and pioneer. The city of Mansfield was named after him (but they got the spelling messed up). Last time I went to the Fort Worth Stockyards, my wife asked me to locate Julian's commemorative star on the sidewalk and take a photo. I also took a couple to show it's location.

This critter was along the edge of one of the dirt roads that I was traveling today. They are said to be "endangered". They are actually pretty common in this area of Florida. I see one once in a while, at least once per month when it's warm out.
Another sparkle and sprinkle storm was about while I was driving home today.

A pigeon in the ledge outside my second-floor office window this morning, with the top of the neighboring roof in the background.

Found this by chance along a busy street one evening. One of the benefits of participating in a side challenge is opening eyes wider.

I've got a lot going on today so here is an old one:
This was really underexposed, no flash, and I didn't get all the focus where i wanted it. So I used topaz to rescue it of course :D |

August 4th...
My wife sitting outside the back porch and the dog right after my wife finished scratching her tummy.
Oh yeah...and all the rocks that are supposed to be leveling the stone walking squares being dug out from under by the same stupid dog. Grrrr. |

More 5D and 17-40mm :-) I'm in love... There's problems in the sky 'cuz we have a very dirty sensor that I got to get cleaned up, so I cheapshot-blurred it LOL.
