portrait request...what is she envisioning?

Does anyone have any examples?

She wants a clear room, dark with dim lights shot from overhead?

ummm..this is for her Senior portraits (the informal).

Can anyone show me and example? and tips?

Look at some of

TOY's studio work. He uses 'clean rooms' and similar lighting styles to those you are suggesting.

I 'think' she means the camera is overhead...like she is looking up??

When someone asks me for something that's a bit vague like that, I always ask them to point me to something similar they've seen on the web elsewhere. Chances are she saw it on a web site somewhere and liked it... maybe she can just send you a link? That always helps paint a much better picture of what the heck they're talking about ;)

ok...I couldn't pull it off...

she wanted it shot directly from overhead so that her shadow was kinda kaleidescope...

Sounds cool, but out of my ability.

I got great outdoor shots though...
What do you do when she insists to sit in the sun with a white tank top on? I gave up and shot them...but as you know the shirt is washed out...and that is the one she likes???

this almost always happens to me..the ones i think are garbage are the ones they totaly love...guess thats what "ignorance is bliss" mean...thier ignorance is our bliss (paycheck)

yep...i would have ditched them, except when I gave her the sneak peak...she was saying yes to all of them....
