ah well, not doing as well as I had hoped, but it's one of those cases that I'm happy with it, and that's good enough for me. Though I wouldn't mind if it went up tomorrow... :D

Either I totally missed the point of 'missed focus' or the majority of the entries did. We have had Out of Focus (OOF) challenges before - where nothing was intended to be in focus. It appears that folks took this to be the same. I took it to mean that the subject itself was not in focus, but at least one other part of the image was in focus. Can't say I was too thrilled with many of the images. Seems those who felt the entire image should be out of focus are letting me know their views too:

| I bailed out at the last minute, glad I did now. Even after seeing the entries I'm not sure what the goal was here. Seems like a poorly worded and nebulous challenge to me. Good luck to those braver than me who entered! |

It shouldn't matter whether all or part of the image is oof, so long as you use oof in a compelling way :) |

I am happy with my score. If it hits the 3's...I will be self DQ'ing...but I certainly don't want this style of image on my profile page. So mid range suits me just fine.
