This sounds interesting... depending on exact location and fees involved.. I don't think recruiting models would be too difficult in the NYC/Philly metropolitan area..

I have made contact with a number of models that seemed interested from this area in my model mayhem account. I don't know where we'd have it here, but that's an option too.

Or wherever we have it, we could check ModelMayhem.

I am totally interested. Could afford both a reasonable fee and a drive. Just depends on time and place! Thanks for taking the time to check into this.

Awesome! The more people we've got, the more fun this ought to be. I'll update my little map when I get home tonight and hopefully we can decided on a destination that works for most of us, and then we'll start working out the details from there.

photodude, are you planning on coming too, or just heckling everybody from afar? :-)

I think we all will have some kind of limit how far we'll go......we're just waiting for the location now, I think....

Once we know where the interested parties are, then a central place can be selected.

depending on when and where it is i may be interested in joining as well. ( in december and jan i will be in upstate NY and otherwise im in providence RI and have no car when im at school)

You're right. That should probably worry me...but for some reason it doesn't.

I don't suppose you guys would ridicule me if I mentioned that I managed to back said Prius into a wooden post yesterday, causing $750 in damage? I did know where the keys were, though.

I've inquired into two venues in Scranton, but I don't expect to get far. Our informal nature and lack of liability coverage will probably make them reject us. (I looked at my alma mater in Binghamton and they specifically indicated this was a problem, at least for them. So much for "alumni services...") But I have some more feelers out, so hopefully something comes up.

We haven't officially elected Scranton as the location, either - I just figured that it was a good place to start checking around, and it is fairly central to most of us.

A couple of people have mentioned NYC. That looks like it would require a longer drive for most of us, and I wouldn't know the first thing about finding a venue there. But of someone has an amazing contact and can get us a place, at least let us know so we can consider it.
