| I gotta say, there are a number of great entries in this challenge. I didnt have the highest expectations when the challenge was first announced, but those of you who entered did an outstanding job. Kudos. |

Really not doing nearly as well as I would have liked, but it will no doubt be my PB (thus far, I will beat this ;) ).
Thanks to everyone who commented, I might have gotten a crap-score, but the comments made it absolutely worthwhile for me..

| well it looks like i'm goimg to get a personal best score out of this challenge that i suggested and also be shot in the foot for a ribbon cause too many people think i cheated!! What a world this is nobody is ever happy till they make everything suck! best part for me was shooting for the challenge there fore i believe i probably will not be entering any more! goodnight |

Man, last minute votes are always brutal. You always sense it's the "contenders" trying to manipulate the results, but of course you could never prove that and it could be nothing like that.

Mine took hits all day yesterday and last night to the tune of almost a tenth and a half. That's a lot once you get over 160 votes. The last couple hours it's gone up a bit so maybe the last minute votes haven't gotten to me yet.
I generally don't vote in challenges that I enter.

Thought it had a chance to reach that magic 7.0 for awhile, but it wasn't to be. Oh well, still happy with it. There were some very, very nice images in this challenge, way to go everyone. |

The voting results show that the challenge description did not have much to do with anyone's definition of "portrait". Some of the low voted shots were impressive, and some of the higher voted ones were not.  Posthumous may have a tough time with this one.
The brown was the only one that finished exactly as it should. It made me smile though, and that makes it a good entry LOL.
If we have the "Bird Portrait 2" challenge next week, it will all be the same thing over again.
We hashed over the description pretty well in the earlier thread before the challenge deadline, and it didn't resolve the issue at all, so now it's another dead horse.

which is why i'm trying to clear this up a bit in the other thread. You have to remember that there are voters that aren't members too which has a bearing on how the challenge turns out that doesn't necessarly show what the members think. I personally gave all flight shots lower scores as they were not portraits in my opinion. |
