Guys, I apologize for falling VERY behind on commenting. I think DPL has kept me somewhat busy... but, since we are getting ready to take a break, I promise I'll catch up here.

We're all busy with DPL, I bet...here's four shots to catch me up.
We went to a "Raptor Release Party" put on by the U of Minnesota Raptor Rehabilitation program. They release a couple of red-taileds and a couple of Cooper's hawks, but they also had a few birds around that can't be release back to the wild for various reasons. They posed nicely for me:)
I'll make a point of commenting on a bunch of your shots this week! |

This was taken through wire screen door of "cranky" he is a lorrakeet and visits us regularly on our breakfast bar looking for a feed. As they are native birds we don't oblige as they find plenty of seed pods in our trees but he doesn't appreciate that and annoys us until we get out of his sight! |

Hawksbill Crag, Arkansas
//www.flickr.com/photos/29445095@N05/4585453984/
Hawksbill Crag (also known as Whitaker Point) in Upper Buffalo River wilderness Area of northwest Arkansas - accessed from south end of Boxley Valley. (As you might have figured out by now, I've become addicted to shooting in this area. Six trips out there so far this year and I've only scratched the surface.) Some idea of height can be gained from the treetops below. The group on the outcrop is preparing to rappel off of it. A young man fell to his death about 3 weeks ago from slightly behind where I shot this view.

I have to confess this isn't from this week (or month even, but it is from this year.)I have nothing to offer from the right time, but I have just processed this one. |
