Hi everyone!
I've been suffering from a bout of hand tendonitis which made it virtually impossible to photograph for a while, but I'm recovering well, just very behind. So I'm posting an image for this week so i don't fall further behind, and will catch up the previous weeks as best I can.
Week 18
Bird-A-Week
This is a hadeda ibis, common in South African suburbs because their habitat has slowly been diminishing. They are incredibly noisy and make a loud 'ha-ha deda' call sound, hence their name. (But it's still nice to have them around, despite their noisiness!) Not terribly inspiring as a photograph I know, but the most interesting shot I've managed to get of this bird to date.

 trying to catch up ... taken at Taronga Zoo bad day not many animals in shooting positions as there is a lot of work going on there. |
