Icy Stream - Buffalo River Trail

It been too hot (95-105) here for the past month to get out and take pictures in the Buffalo River Valley. So, I went back through some shots from January and found this "cool" shot.

It's a lovely shot, and I can understand it making you feel cooler. I'm cold enough already (still winter where I live) and I'd appreciate seeing some of your 100+ heat. However when my turn comes I'll be complaining about it. |

Didn't think that was too bad a showing for a relative novice.

The gravestones of my great, great grandfather (top) and great grandfather (bottom)are several rows apart in the Methodist Cemetary at Riddle, Indiana. Notice anything unusual?

Week 28 B&W
This one really tanked in the free study, even though it turned out just how I wanted it. Either I've lost the ability to take a good photograph, or finally found my style. Or maybe a combination of the two. |

Oh my goodness. What a time that would have been for your great great grandmother, poor lady. I wonder what brought about her husband's death? Civil War related? At least his son had a long life. |

Related to Civil War in a way. A few weeks before his death, he was helping to unload corpses of local soldiers who had died in the Civil War from a train. According to the family, he became ill the next day and never had another healthy day. |
