Hawksbill Crag (also kown as Whitaker Point) in Upper Buffalo River Wilderness area of northwest Arkansas. Was sitting on edge of 100 foot bluff to take photo. Floor of valley is about 600 feet below.

I wish I could leave comments directly on your lovely photos, Dan. The elk herd is a wonderful scene. I love it.
And I find the Civil War cannon very evocative. Not being American, the Civil War was something I gleaned my education about from movies, rather than history classes. A few years ago I read a book called 'Confederates in the Attic' by Tony Horwitz, which was partly about reenactments. I was fascinated by and loved the book. |

Have looked at your images as thumbnails but as soon as try to open them the internet crashes. |
