So will a DNMC = a DQ in this case?
Otherwise, it's just a portrait challenge and you COULD do a self portrait... |

Special rules says you cannot do a Self Portrait. I would assume if it's not of another DPC member it will be a DQ.

Right, but the standing rule of this site is that not meeting the challenge is NOT grounds for DQ.
I think it's a membership drive gimmick. Many will have to get someone else to join just so they have a subject. |

Cant it be of something that goes with the name? Does it have to be the actual person? I dont know anyone who is a DPC user so like if the username is kitchen sink can you enter a picture of a kitchen sink? |

Get a good looking friend to sign up - I assume "registered users" are acceptable rather than full members |

It says specifically a portrait of another member. I can only assume that is what it means. Now I need to organize a quick GTG in the St. Louis area!

I found a few users with the name nobody in it. I think I will just use that and post a picture of a nice landscape. :>) |

Title of challenge DPChallenge User Portrait, challenge description, Your challenge is to take a portrait of another member of DPChallenge. User or member? Might make a difference. |

It says user in the title and member in the description. I dont think there is a difference. |

If that distinction was to be drawn then it should not have been posted as an open challenge. |

Still does not matter... It could be a photo of a water drop for all it matters.
Post a photo of a human being... you cannot be DQ'd and noone will know during voting it's not a real member. |
