jeannel's amazing psychic prediction:

my picture will not win this challenge.

(ooh...aah...the crowd marvels at her accuracy!)

here's another shot that totally does not meet the dpc aesthetic but i think is cool...without naked ladies or water spots! we'll see what happens!

I just took a great picture for this. Hope I can process it right before tomorrow night. Here's hoping. ::fingers crossed::

I took a picture of something you can see through. I hope I don't get the DNMTCG crap.

Too bad the challenge wasn't earlier in the year. I took this one in July, but we had a killing frost finally last night and all the aquatic life is sleeping till next year.

Grrrr - why did I do this a few weeks ago and not THIS week?????

Ah 'tilda, the real question was why you just didn't do it again this week because I would have given you high marks for that one!!! Too late now...

EDIT: well, I see the reason now, too many people had commented on it already.

LOL. So that's what an invisible wall looks like!

I got one of your head while we were in the crapper at the zoo that fits the challenge.

Anybody seen Austin Powers' shadows effect in the tent?
LOL
Just a funny idea of transparancy that would probably get me in trouble.

Take it one step further, is it part of the agreement that one ribbon always belongs to someone from Iceland? :)

(Just giving those guys from Iceland a hard time. No hard feelings, I'm actually scandinavian myself.)

"Description: Use transparency to create the impact of your photo this week."
Absolutely, you just go ahead and create the impact of your photo with that special little skylight filter and knock our socks off! :p

You can tell the first challenge was a long time ago, the American flag actually took the ribbon. :-)

I agree.
(BTW, transparent and translucent will never be equivalent to me. You (skylen and anyone else) can take the challenge to mean "opaque" if you want to, but re-writing the challenge description in this thread won't really help you with the majority of the voters.)

just take a picture
10/24/2005 03:42:34 PM · #24
I am going to take this to mean more translucent than transparent.

trans·par·ent adj.
1. Capable of transmitting light so that objects or images can be seen as if there were no intervening material. See synonyms at clear.

trans·lu·cent adj.
1. Transmitting light but causing sufficient diffusion to prevent perception of distinct images.

How about this?
