I'm expecting we'll be seeing the OP's Blue Ribbon entry 'round midnight to enlighten us all as to how it's done.

I'm breathless with anticipation........

Thats funny - because the only person I see "pissed off" is you. Go back and read what you've written - it's full of personal attacks and a lot of curse words (you are aware that we have young members on this site).

Well, considering this is the first time I have ever posted my opinion on a challenge, then your description doesn't really fit. Because I am, most of the time, not "devoted" to my own opinions. As far as prejudices go - I don't have any. You either take a good picture or you don't...you take one that goes with the theme or you don't. Thank you by the way for proving that you had to consult a dictionary to figure out the definition of "bigot"

So something 'ordered' in your opinion is something that's misaligned?

I think you're wrong. I agree with some of your points, disagree with how you put them out here, but "a picture of a pattern or of a line" is of course orderly. How is it not? I just can't comprehend your reasoning here.

Thankyou so much.

No no - thank you for entering the challenge so that I could give you my expert opinion. Because, obviously, if I don't like even one of YOUR precious photographs, Judi, then I must be a complete hack. I was DEFINITELY saying that you overall as a person and photographer must suck all the time because of the one image I didn't like of YOURS. Get your head out of your ***. If you think that because I didn't like one photo, that I don't like the rest of your work or I am not up to the standard to opine on your work, then you really are a photo snob. I love your work Judi - - and I obviously didn't like this photo you did. Considering I didn't know it was your photo I can't believe you would be so personally offended. Get over yourself. I make one comment about a challenge and everyone is going ****ing crazy. This is nothing but hilarious on my end. I love too how all the "popular kids" like bear music, and vawendy and judi and yo-spiff are the ones the most pissed off. It is just like high school.

Did I say I was pissed off???? I was thanking you. If this is how you react when someone thanks you...geez...I wonder what you would be like if someone was rude to you....my goodness!!

Look, whether it's your first opinion, or your tenth, or your hundredth, it is what it is. And that's a bald statement that "Only MY interpretation of "order" is valid," and that "anyone who did anything else is lazy and uncreative." And THAT is bigoted in the pure sense of the word.

It wasn't me that needed the dictionary, it was you, so I provided one.

First of all, rule #?? is "no profanity in the forums" (or something like that), and rule #?? is "do not attack individual users"

Second... you specifically said that people need to read the challenge description... yet you say that things that look the same and are in a line is wrong because they look the same. So your "order" is something like "things in order," e.g. "A, B, C." The problem is, the challenge description states that it is about having things in the right place, i.e. orderly. So things that look the same, and are in a line, match the challenge description. The more narrow interpretation, "things in order," also matches the challenge description... B is in the "right place" if it is between A and C. According to the challenge description, though, it's also in the right place if it's in the middle of the room, amongst all the consonants of the alphabet (regardless of the sequence), whereas the vowels are over in the corner.

I am not a "popular kid" and I am pretty irritated. Did you expect less? I have been here for a very short time and know not to start a thread like this one unless I want to be throttled. Sheesh...just the nature of the beast I guess.

Anyway...have a great day!

You're not exactly setting the woprld on fire, despite having some of the best equipment on the planet. Why all of a sudden are you some self-proclaimed expert?

Uh, no.....

Bear's one of those amazing people that's pretty much a walking dictionary.

I'm extraordinarily well read on a myriad of different subjects and I'm *constantly* amazed at the depth and breadth of his knowledge and experience.

'Course, he's older'n dirt, so he's lived through a lot of history........8>)

BTW, you have to work REALLY hard to piss him off, and frankly dear, you have neither the talent nor the experience.

Just had my first quick look at the entries. I would tend to agree in general the challenge is weak, sorry if this offends anyone but that's just my opinion.
Most likely it is weak because the DPL has finished, once again my opinion.

Bump. Answer that please.
I'm genuinely curious about the original poster's opinion on this.

I was just wondering myself where he and Slippy were. Not like them to miss a thread like this.

I don't think you will get any "you offended me" replies. There is a HUGE difference in how you stated your opinion and how the OP stated her's.
Good job on being polite.

I hate it when I get those little hull thingies stuck down the tooth into the gum.

Can we have cheese curls instead?
