"Once I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken."

Actually, I seem to use the word "Phooey" quite often. It seems to cover a multitude of situations.

Life may not be the party you hoped for, but while you're here, you might as well dance!

I had this sticker on the back of my motorcycle helmet in Florida:

"You say tomato
I say F*CK YOU"

Was funny at the traffic lights, since about 10% of the people would loose it laughing.
(oddly, more women than men laughed...)

When ever I see someone doing something really stupid (like a kid standing between the front seats of a car without the seat belt on...)

"Stupidity deserves to die out"

"Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

A. Lincoln

I know so* many people this applies to......myself included some days. LOL!!!

Here's another positive one for a Tuesday morning after Memorial Day. Back to work..

Life sucks then you die.

I want to die in my sleep, like my grandfather -- not screaming and yelling like his passengers.

"Life is pain. Get used to it."

Well, in a poem of mine I use the refrain:

We travel in pain. We die.
There is no other road...

(wink)

Art's my long-lost twin, sheesh.

You, me and Sylvia Plath. ;-)

and then there's the farm boy/dread pirate roberts/man in black in the princess bride saying -
'life is pain, highness - anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something'

or of course Siddhartha Gautama, who is rumoured to have said that all life is suffering...

big old family you have there, and a surprisingly happy one

I don't remember the exact quote from Bill Cosby, but the version I use on my kids is... "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out and make another one that looks just like you!".

As a man with a limited number of tomorrows, I like this one. That is why I made peace with Death and are living a quality life bearing into the shit that is coming. And living I do. She wants me, she'll have to come look for me where I am busy living.

Morbidity is my problem, not mortality.

I admit I fear the final days of pain, humiliation and discomfort. I fear being alone. My way of dealing with this is to make sure none of those I care for see my suffering, my disintegration and eventual death. That is my way of dealing with 'it'.

As for "Deal with it", easy words until you yourself has to deal with it.
