Need some advice and you lot are all pretty brilliant and I know you, so here goes!

I bought this John Galliano (Ex Dior) for a photo shoot I wanted to do. Several people have said that they would pay to be shot in it. Fair enough. Reaction has been about $3-400 a session with hair and MUA and a chose of their location. SO what do you think is the best way to advertise this? Can I stick it on my profile page of MM, do a blitz on FB any other websites? I thought MM to start off with, but then saw this thread and got blonde on myself, as I thought you could ask for paid work. MM Link Thread

Also, another thought, if I pack up the dress and myself and travel to different cities (mostly to photographers I know), do you think that other photographers would be interested in shooting the dress with the above rate, but only getting say $100-150 of the asking going rate?? So they bring in the client, do a 2 hour session (1 hour for MUA and Hair) and basically book as many sessions as possible in a weekend?? Is that even feasible at that price, would you think any photographer would be interested???

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

That dress is AMAZING! Holy cow!

I can't offer any advice :-( But I just had to say something about that dress! I think if you can find the clientele, you'll do just fine with what you plan. Plenty of women would love to wear that!

That's a good idea, I'm sure other photographers would like to offer that option as not every woman can afford to dress like that, and fit the dress!

Good luck with it. I'd insure the dress in case it got lost while travelling.

Of course it is not the original, there where more made, there is no wool (((it is all made from silk)) or hoops in this, though it is still 6 foot without the hoops, hoops are being custom made.

Given the popularity of shots with amazing dresses in rough and tumble locations, I would be careful to screen those who wish to use the dress to insure it was not ill used.

You have some great ideas! Not sure how to advertise it, but if you could book a more-or-less solid weekend, it should be worth your while. At a minimum, you'd have some great experiences. I think photographers would love the challenge of shooting ladies in that dress.

No real advice, except to add that with such an extravagantly gorgeous dress,
you might think about limiting the number of photo shoots you do,
rather than doing a wholesale shoot (so to speak) and then charge for the semi-exclusive use.
