I'm seriously not getting the dnmc comments. "Show us what one might expect if they venture further up the road." There is nothing else written. There is no criteria that has to be met. I walked up my road and took a picture.

What about Johnny Cash? Wasn't it HIS song?

R.

There's a blues song called Further On Up the Road -- "Further on up the road, someone's gonna hurt you like you hurt me" -- recorded about a million times, most notably by Eric Clapton and The Band. I don't know who wrote it, though, gotta look that up.

No. Farther up the road is the place where Patrick Swayze worked.

"Ease on Down the Road" from The Wiz

Kidding. This is not a song challenge. Someone brought that up AFTER the announcement.

I don't think the song has to be the focal point of this challenge, it doesn't state that in the description, anyone else feel the same?

I just put my entry in and it had absolutely nothing to do with the song..

Good one, me too....well it might have something to do with it.... but then again it might not.

Don't know the song, I have no idea the concept for sure... I did take something today and entered... most likely, will be f@#ed, but who cares. I have only once a week entry option and I am using this one.

For a while I was focused on boosting my average, but recently I have made one goals to take more risks on challenges. If I am happy with an image I entered it even if I think it will score below my average. Some of my risks this year have scored well, some have not scored very well but gotten PH recognition and/or good comments from folks I respect, and others have been all out flops. But, I think the more risks I take the more I learn.

i'm in the same boat... my average rose enough to be able to cross one of my profile goals off my list, so i have been trying to keep scoring above my average, or at least split my "risky" images and my "crowd pleasers" to keep a slow upward trend... but it is HARD!!!
