My sympathies go out to the people of Oklahoma. I'm seeing some heartrending videos online. I'm hoping all our members in that area are OK.

its one thing to lose property in such events, but i couldn't imagine dealing with the suffering and loss of life, especially the children.

Unimaginable pain and suffering. They are in my prayers.

I was mesmerized yesterday, watching all this happen LIVE. I stumbled onto a newsfeed for the tablet... It's heartbreaking.

Same from me. Absolutely tragedy.

My girlfriend is actually in that area right now, and has been since Sunday - but as of last night she was just fine.

The news just keeps getting worse and worse. Roberts assessment, "heartbreaking," is right on the money.

Today it's looking like Texas is under more of a threat than Oklahoma. Ya'll stay safe out there. ;)

A tragedy. My thoughts are with the victims.

In stead of building giant football stadiums you would think they would have built a storm shelter at those schools being they have been in the tornado alley for a while.

Here is a woman who lost her dog in the disaster...but then finds him.

Truly amazing. Some light in the dark hours of this little old lady and her pooch.

Ray, I was already well aware that you had a big heart ;)

I went on a church mission trip to Joplin, MO, last year around this time. Oddly, yesterday I wore a Joplin shirt that I had bought on that trip. I have very rarely worn that shirt (I have probably only worn it one other time, right after the trip), but that's what I put on yesterday morning, hours before this storm passed through. Just struck me as weird that I chose that shirt to wear, and then this disaster happened. Having seen some of the devastation in Joplin, I can imagine what the folks in Moore are experiencing. My heart goes out to them.

I just found this NOAA satellite image from space that shows the developing storm. Even to an inexperienced eye, that's enormous.

My husband was there.. He called me and said the radio in his car said there was a tornado near him... I was at the store and said I'll call u back when I get home. Turn on the TV and see Moore, grabbed phone n called hubby back NO ANSWER... and that continued till 7:30 last night, He's fine but missed it by almost a min. He had to got clear to Guthrie to find a motel and be able to call me. It looks just like Joplin two years ago tomorrow.. they are saying only 51 dead, where Joplin had 162 I see a lot of storm shelters in the news footage on our local station, plus it missed wal-marts n big stores where Joplin's didn't.
Did you all see where FEMA was arguing about money and the two schools that were hit did not have safe rooms??? OK has much better protection generally than we have in MO for out kiddo's but REALLY NO SCHOOL should be with out an EF5 safe room!!! I feel sick for those kids parents, Joplin lost a few little ones but not 21, Horrid just Horrid!!

Marge and I have a house in OKC that is north of the devastation. If anyone has family or friends that need a place we are trying to donate its use. No furniture but that should be a small issue. Prayers sent to my former neighbors.

My wife's cousin teaches at he school that was hit, and her son also attends the school. Fortunately they came through without a scratch. A few hours of anxious waiting, and prayers...

Our hearts break for those not so fortunate.

Tom just sent me this shot he took, while sitting on 35, I've watched the news all day, but something about that tire setting in the middle of an interstate just really knocked it home.
