I love this challenge idea I saw the collection this morning after the challenge was listed. Such an inspiration I can't wait to try my own :)

That'd be awesome!

No thank you for ever again "in the style of" (First thoughts). Okay, tell you what, I am in. In that style I am sure to find something.

My self confidence is very low so I fear I either insult "you" by my poor attempt or myself for portraying me as "As good as you". I should stick with me and keep scoring what I get.

I need 3 more challenges, so hard to please, so confused, so little confidence.

Nonsense, I can do it! Watch this space!

hmmm... how to pull this off in black and white?

OK I went through his New Happiness port and was pretty much able to understand how the images fit the theme except for the arrows. Who can explain to me how the arrows come into play with this theme??? Im not very artsy so im sure its my ignorance at play here :)

I could be wrong but I don't really think the arrows have significance by themselves... they just add interest (possibly another dimension) to the bold graphics.

Just read ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/31.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/31.gif', '/') + 1) . ' Pug-H's story on Angus and saw his port...beautiful work, might have a tough time replicating those gorgeous colours over here, but great idea for a challenge. I'll be in!

I was taken with the linked gallery. Have viewed it many times in the past few days. Taken so much I just entered the challenge. Good luck to all. I am eager to see the entries.

Just wanted to share an interesting observation I've made about why this work connects so strongly with me.

I think the big impact of his work is created because he was able to capture, in single images, the attempt at joy even in the grip of poverty.

It's really one of the most admirable things about humans, and his collection showed it so well.

Though, admittedly, I really do love that straight-line Mondrian look that his work evokes.

This challenge was fun to execute.
Or in other words, "I'm in."
