This is brilliant

I am looking at these wonderful entries through tears that just won't stop. Voting on this is so irrelevant. There just are no words....

+1. So well done everyone.

I think everyone should give every shot a 10 then we all tie for blue and make history again.. I voted and gave all 10's simply because it is so irrelevant regarding the score but so very relevant regarding making this a challenge to remember.

Good work everyone.

Great turnout!
I stayed late last night to enter and I'm so glad I did.

lets not get carried away here
voting only 10 looks like me as not voting at all
bad idea

Oh my! Tears are streaming, after voting on this touching challenge. Thanks, DPC. What a community!!

I'm sure Peter would prefer real votes, but this is my opinion. In any case great job guys - 65 images in 24 hours is amazing and many of them are beautiful!

I agree. I think a better alternative is to leave a comment that he can read and feel the love we all have for him. I plan to comment on all photos with Peter in mind and try my best to give him encouragement and inspiration. Just my thoughts... I feel as helpless as the rest of you, but inflating a score will not preserve the integrity of what this challenge means to Peter. I don't know him personally, but he strikes me as someone who has great strength and integrity.

I couldn't agree more.

They are going to disappear at the rollover anyway. From what I remember that's what happened in the challenge for Shez.

I agree with the above. Inflating votes is not what Doc would want.

I will vote normally, but show my appreciation with my comments. I will do my best to comment on all.

For better or worse, one of my highest voting averages ever....the emotion the images provoked really was a powerful thing. Thank you all.

Damn wish I'd entered, didn't have the time to shoot for it...but will try to comment.

I won't vote all 10's but I won't be giving out low scores, either. I just went through the entries and was blown away. One thing that struck me was the way the variety of styles spoke to the range of personalities here at DPC which in turn reflected the breadth of Peter's love for life and others.

Voting all 10s (or all anything) could get your votes thrown out by the mystical (mythical?) vote scrubber. I'll admit that I upped my scale for this one, but there were almost none that I felt deserved anything close to a low score. I don't much care about scores & finishes in this one - just hope it lifts Doc's spirits.

I think Doc should get all the ribbons from this. Without his strength, courage and love that he shares with us there would not be this wonderful challenge or ribbons. I think the front page should feature 3 of Peters images followed by the entries.

I think Art should design a ribbon similar to the DNMC ribbon, and that everyone who enters gets one on their homepage like the DNMC ribbon. This is a worthy thing to be remembered.

I wish there was one for the Shez tribute as well. It seems like both are important to remember...
