I really hope this doesn't come off in the wrong way and I want to say that I totally get the jester of what ya'll were trying to do by voting "solid 10's" for everyone. And I'll admit to voting very generously in this particular challenge....

But to those of you that did vote solid 10's you know all those votes will get thrown out...so I'm asking that you make some adjustments in your voting...(mind you not on my picture...snort)

Wink....

Agreed, I'd rather get a 9 that I can keep than a 10 I have to give back!! ;)

And I totally appreciate the jester gesture (rolling my eyes, at my spelling abilities...or not!!!)...

*sigh* that's why I went down....

Didn't Janine add not to adjust mine, either? :P

I voted like I always vote but must admit that I have never voted a challenge with tears in my eyes.
Some of the images/text really touched me. Very nice everyone.

I only gave the short list...I'm thinking the long one would have about 65 ish names on it...therefore doing no good

My gracious, my score has plummeted a near full point over the last 20 votes. Most precipitous drop I have ever seen on my entries.

Could it be that several members scored all the images 10 and upon realizing that their votes would be scrubbed made some adjustments.

Notwithstanding my admiration for Doc, the votes I doled out in this challenge fell within my normal scoring range... no more, no less.

My voting average was a bit higher than normal, simply because I gave extra points to the ones that hit me emotionally. I always think that's a big part of photography, so it was easy to give extra points for those that made a big impression.

Well done.

Apparently something's in the works, as this appeared on my profile page today:

i have it too. might be testing the ribbon thing and since the challenge is not finished yet it's a bit buggy

Sorry that peoples scores dropped.. its the result of an over-emotional me. Bad idea of mine to give 10's they would of been scrubbed so I corrected them, still way higher than normal.

I also have the ribbon thing going on in my profile so I am delighted the team decided to go with this idea to honour a true soldier.

How do I add a note to my entry???
02/13/2014 01:48:48 PM · #118
Peter has passed. I'll miss him so!!

Janine -- to add a note to your entry -- go to your portfolio and find the picture, then you can edit the notes.

Journey in peace, old friend :-) Think of us now and then as you go, and leave word where we can reach you when we make our own crossings in our own time :-)

Go to your portfolio (not member page) and click on your entry. It will allow you to add a note in the description field.
