What gives!?! Nah, just messin'
The powers that be must have been a-listening... ;)

I fully expect to see 3 advanced editing challenges in a row next...

I love this site. It pushes us to new heights and boundaries - if we so choose to except the "challenge".

Or, maybe better still, we accept the challenge ;-)

The sky is falling again!!!

This place isn't DPChallenge anymore - it's going down a slippery slope!

Perhaps it will pull in more people that enjoy this minimal stuff ... maybe that's ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/1.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/1.gif', '/') + 1) . ' Langdon new long-term strategy!

Please stop changing things and being different I like the way things were before in the good old days.....

What efffect is this going to have on Highest Rated photos of the site? We can't allow this to effect the holy grail!!

That's it. I'm cashing in my chips. The ship is sinking while sailing backwards in time. Next thing you know, they'll want negatives for validation.

I like the minimal makes you think before you push the button

Minimal is the pits and should be banished from the world.

As pointless things go its the top.

With all those spots on my sensor I have a problem here, can't clone them out using healing brush or stamp tool.

A really wide aperture to create the narrowest dof possible?

Speaking of sensor dust, you somehow entered your dust example into the flip and blend

Who didn't see that coming?

Yes, I used that one to test whether its size (306 kb) would come down when copied from the workshop into the challenge and I forgot to remove it afterwards. Already asked the SC to DQ it. It's not easy getting older ;-)

you people are NEVER happy are you!!! ISH!!!! (LOL)

These challenges are the best way to make us really think what we are taking a picture of. So it SHOULD improve your composition skills, technical abilities and get your bloody gear CLEAN!!!! BTW...I've been noticing spots again!!!

And why can't you clean your sensor spots (is it in another thread???). I clean my sensor all the time (like each time there is a minimal editing challenge). And if you can't clean it yourself then make sure especially when you are lining up your shot that the spots aren't in a smooth area (like the sky) but rather in a busier part of the photo...field of flowers...this should really sharpen up your composition skills Kees

Sometimes, it just won't come clean.

that is true...but then I think I would send it back to the manufacturer for a good solid guaranteed cleaning (calling before hand of course)

Is that Kees case? (was this in another thread that I didn't see?)

I've got a Rebel XTi with permaschmutz. The value of the camera isn't such that I'd have it cleaned. It'll probably cost what the camera is worth. For minimal challenges, I'll use my phone or SX40 to avoid the smudge.
