I'd enjoy doing another of those.
shoot 50/100/X images with eyes closed, pick one.

it could even be fun to do this with a fixed aperature

love the idea - didn't see this post before I suggest Blind Photography. I would really like to do this under basic editing

Agreed, I loved looking through these, but I'd like to see what would come from basic editing too.

Sorry, this is a novel idea, but it is not photography. It should never be a challenge topic.

Not sure how taking a photograph is not photography ?

The mute says to the deaf..."watch out, the blind man is taking pictures of us".

When I taught photography at the University of California, this was one of the very first exercises I had students do. Why? Because it opened their eyes (jejeje) to alternate possibilities of composition and visualization. Send people out with a camera and say "take pictures" and what you get back is, with a few exceptions, variations of the same compositional themes, over and over. Make them shoot blind, and then go through their images panning for gold, and they will pick out some amazing gems that they otherwise never would have shot. It's a wonderful challenge topic IMO.

I participated in this challenge last time. ' . substr('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_challenge/1000-1999/1549/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1006812.jpg', strrpos('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_challenge/1000-1999/1549/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1006812.jpg', '/') + 1) . ' Really low placement for me. I followed the rules exactly and should have captured an image that appeared to have been taken blind. :-)

It's okay. From your University example, I understand the purpose of the exercise. "There are none so blind as those who will not see." :-)

Ok it's time again please, this was fun, and we need to make DPC more fun after the last few days!

I don't know if I would go as far as ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', '/') + 1) . ' hahn23 and say that it's not photography, but I will say this; If we can't trust people to vote within the rules how can we expect people to not take a beautifully composed shot with their eyes open and submit it. I know, I'm just an old stick in the mud but it's what I immediately thought of.
