I suggest you enter your guess in numbers and your vote as a word... to make it easier on The Powers That Be.

I am loving this. Voters are judging me overly optimistic and telling me why. Over and over the same thing. Which I suspected going in but did not know. Now I know.

I feel dirty.

I thought we were extending voting (given that all this just came up yesterday morning). I can't possibly commit to 100% commenting before tomorrow night.

I put aside bits and pieces of time in the last day or so and have managed to complete my 100% commenting! Yay! Some are short comments, some more in depth and some, no doubt, have annoyed the absolute crap out of people. I'm going to be very interested in comparing my estimates to both the photographer's guess and the end results.

Comments Made: 1,445! Very impressive.

Yeah. I think it might need to be extended. Langdon said it can be extended by up to a week. How long will folk need? Past the weekend? Or beyond?

I'm done but I vote for letting it run through the weekend.
Something to look forward too on Monday.:)

I traveled all week, just got back this morning did get through voting. I'm only at 25% comments so far - but should be able to get to at least 50% by the end of the day.

Yes, the weekend would be plenty of time for me to get to 100% comments.

How about a voting and commenting extension that would make it a week from when the special ribbons were announced?
02/05/2015 12:55:40 PM · #67
An extension through the weekend would allow me to comment on all the images....
02/05/2015 01:33:12 PM · #68
I did 100% voting and commenting in a relatively short period of time (2 hours at work).
hopefully my humorous comments were taken as intended - in a jovial manner.

I think most people here know my comments enough that when something sounds humorous, it's not intended to be snarky.

An extension would be nice, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen.

You can not exclude the possibility that scores and positions may change from today to Sunday. I'm not sure that would be fair for someone to potentially lose out on a ribbon or HM or TT because the voting was arbitrarily extended for this particular challenge.

I am not in this challenge, so do not have a horse in this race, but I know I'd be annoyed if my score dropped from now to Sunday and that caused me to miss out on whatever acclaim I may have received if voting ended tonight as it was supposed to.

Just another viewpoint to consider.

The scores will land where they land, just as in every challenge. In three days, no one's tastes will change, the membership demographics will have no significant turnover, photographic art will not advance. I'll trade in the dice for the extra comments.

Hooray! My hero! And thank you.

100% commenting coming -- from me at least. Who will join me?
