Have we decided on a theme or are we just making one up like last time?

I think Iíll go with a only shooting photos at work month, on the job so to speak.

I keep on trying to get motivated to take photos of jetties around Lake Geneva as a theme and that might one option for me. Another one would be to select my favorite photos for a photo book to print.

Or maybe I should do both and alternate? The first one would get me out to take new photos, the second would be an opportunity to revisit PP of old photos. Would this be OK?

I think a set theme would be too restrictive.

ok .. i'm just going to put it out there that we can each decide on our own theme for the month ..
i think that would work for most people .. as they can decide what they would like to do ..
options being .. have fun .. stretch themselves .. get out of their comfort zone .. connect with other ppl .. improve their skills .. and more ..

one thing .. i will say once we get the posting thread started ..
is that commenting is just as important as posting ..
critiques are good ..
praise is good ..
saying the first thing that comes into your mind when you see a photo is good ..
but .. be kind .!!. lol ..

really looking forward to march .. xx

I might also suggest that each participant start the month by posting a description of their ďtheme.Ē

yes .. I could put that info against our names .. where ive said whos joined up .. like they did in the resolution side challenge..
also if we said each time we posted a photo .. ..what our theme is .. that would be good too ..

If we're going with choose your own theme then mine is red. Photographs where red is an important element or the predominant color.

Don't expect heart shaped chocolate boxes and roses.

I'm out of space in my portfolio. I have may to do something different, like a photo essay offsite. I'll narrow this down by end of month.

I'll probably stick with "diversify subject matter" if that's okay.

i personally think that whatever a person wants to concentrate on during the month is fine ..
whether its a very tight constraint or looser ..
as i feel that we all approach the side challenges with a different mindset ..

for me its the inspiration i get from the other photographers .. the fact that i'm pushed to enter photographs that i wouldnt otherwise take and the feedback that i get and that i give ..
i particularly enjoy seeing ppl's photos and drinking them in .. then communicating how they have affected me ..
and having written all that .. i'd say a lot of us would feel the same .. :)
