I have the default as JPG. The default is PSP with the software. I will try the PSP when I edit next and compare. I have raw on my camera but I use Windows XP to upload to my files. I didn't like the Canon software that much because of the ease of XP on my computer. It was a hassle to use raw then convert to TIFF then back again to JPG. The problem that I didn't like is that I had to save each file in that format just to switch back to JPG. I wouldn't even want to phantom the thought of converting every file I have? I have 31 CD's that I have of edited pictures from my digital camera and that is since last December. Now if I were to use my scanned CD's from my 35-mm camera and beyond I would be lost somewhere in Inter space. You know the old saying,"If it ain't broke don't fix it." It is more of a convenience but I will try what you suggested and thanks for the idea.
