Has anyone tried this combo?
Since the Tokina is made for APS size sensors, it will vingette at the wider end, but I heard it is gone by about 15mm.
Anyone actually tried this and know?

Sigma 12-24 is built for full frame.

Yea, I know,
but I already have the Tokina and am getting a II N. I want to know at what focal length the vingetting is gone.

I don't know about the Tokina specifically but I've seen tests done with the Sigma 10-20 on a 1DS or 1Ds mk II and the vignetting was gone or too miniscule to notice by 12 or maybe even 11. since the IIn is 1.3FOVC I'd bet that it would be gone by 13 or 14. Just my guess though.

i think they did a review on luminous landscape with the tokina, and it was rather minimal... will be curious to see how it turns out (i have the tokina as well)

Tokina is known for copying Nikon designs (which makes since since they were started by ex Nikon engineers). I use my Nikkor 12-24 f4 on my 35mm camera all the time without vingetting from about 18-24. It is definately worth a try, espeically towards 24.
