Im quite annoyed to be honest, I had paid for the new Sanyo Xacti E6 and was enjoying very much its compactness and power but yesterday it stopped working, dead as a dodo so I call the shop and explain what happened.

"No problem sir we will replace it for you"

So I beg the boss for the morning off to drive the extra 30 miles to take the thing back and get a replacement.. great, nice new white camera to match my MAC.. happy and off I go to work, put the thing on charge and after an hour take 2 shots with it and BOOM! gone again the monitor starts flashing and went dark, so out of temper i slapped it (softly) then the thing started working again for 5 seconds then went black again.. I found that if you flick the front of the thing it will work, obviously a short circuit or something but my issue is with Sanyo build quality.. it SUX! so I ask my boss for the rest of the day off at a loss of $120ish and drive the 30 miles back to the shop again to coller the same man and I gave him the best part of my mind in my bestest ever Japanese and told him about the 120 mile total round trip and the loss of earnings and the sheer fact that Sanyo is the crappiest camera I have ever had the missfortune to own .. Lucky for me I live in Japan because he was so sorry for me that he accepted full responsibility of the thing and gave me the choice of another camera maker with a value of $100 higher.. so it is with great pleasure I am now the proud owner of a Minolta Dimage X1 with 8MP and a decent video mode for my pocket camera.. Sanyo... nice design but man make the damn things with a bit of love ..

Needed to vent thanks for listening, now to get a bath while the battery is charging on the new minolta, Im sure they are not the greatest pocket camera in the world but they sure beat the hell out of a broken Sanyo.. Be warned the new SANYO XACTI E6 is built like a SKODA.

I really enjoyed the 3" viewer on that Skoda but the build quality was just really crap... Im using the new Minolta for the broken II challenge so we shall see how it does..

I used to drive a Skoda years ago and I needed a set of points for it one day.. I went to the local store and asked "set of points for a Skoda"

the guy had such a serious look then said "yeh sounds like a fair swap to me".

True story, I sold it

Ha - NO!

I have a Mk1 Golf Gti (Rabbit in the USA) which is my "Toy" and an X-Type Jag as a daily drive.
