AP-Pacific-Quake URGENT

aftermath of a powerful South Pacific quake have eased. An official
in New Zealand reports ocean-monitoring devices haven't detected
any signs of a tsunami. And the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center is
canceling its tsunami warning.
