I had the urge to kick back with a beer and scratch myself, so they must be pretty good ... :-)

Very nice. I particularly like the ones of the kids batting. The only one I was not a huge fan of was the one shot through the fence. Having the moving ball in the frame really gives the photo a pulse. Just my two cents.

Nice and crisp, great color, good job. I've shot on the sideline, all the time hoping I still had 'cat like reflexes', shooting baseball many times. My son was a HS catcher so that's on of my favorite subjects. What lens did you use for this shoot?

Either my 100mm, the 300mm, the 100-400mm, or my favorite the 50mm.

a couple more.

It's more than one game, but mainly my sons team. I am making a pocket book for the boys at the end of the season as a gift.

Not to be overly critical, because I dont know your exact conditions for shooting, but in my opinion, sports shot with the ball in them are always better than without, especally on offense, and if the ball is in the shot it should be frozen. I would kill to have a MkII and a 300 F2.8 with that equipment freezing the ball should not be very hard.

I guess I am looking for more of a critique from sports shooters if you are out there.

I know what you are saying, but my personal taste is to have the ball caught in flight after the throw from the hill. capturing the ball after the release point making it's way to the plate gives it that tradectory feel.

I like the motion of the ball in flight when passing the hitter. The motion of the ball passing the hitter gives it more feel of empathy for the hitter because you see where the ball is actually going.
Also, I like to see if the ball was missed, or hit. Captureing the ball just as it is hit looks weird. Sometimes it looks like a superglued ball on a stick.

I like the framing of the ball between the fence. Capturing it, and seeing the seams, comming at you. Personal taste.
