Hi,

I have 2 photographs of waves crashing - I've done some editing on both of them and would really love to know which of the two is better in your opinion.

' ' . substr('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/37707/thumb/342705.jpg', strrpos('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/37707/thumb/342705.jpg', '/') + 1) . '
Any comments on how I could make the photograph better are also welcome.
Thanks!

I like the second one better. There is more detail in the rocks, and more splash in the wave.

I prefer the second as well. The splash looks nice and symmetric. Also, in the first one, I think the white whater is too bright.

I also like the second one better, but that may have been biased influencing involved here by the other two responses.

if I were you, I would push the colors and contrast a little, maybe also use bear_music's gradient idea to add color to the water, and tilt the picture counterclockwise just a bit, you have really good focus and sharpening on the water spray, maybe some selective sharpening to some of the other parts of the photo, but really, I think you have some great photos here and really just some more exaggerated color would really make them stand out... nice work
