So if we're over 100 votes, we can only expect the scores to drop, say, 2/10 of a point from here on out? Is it safe for me to look yet, or should I wait for another 50 or so votes to come in?

The vote is not over until the fish swims through the mountain.

If a man says something in the woods and there's no one there to hear it, is he still wrong?

Your fish approaches your mountain

I'm at peace with my 5.0 so I guess it should score higher since its obviously Zen like?
08/01/2006 07:59:19 PM · #259
My fish is probably going to turn around and swim downstream before it approaches the mountain, but hey, that's fine by me.

The question you must ask is, "Is my fish a tuna, or is my fish a salmon?"

The answer will guide you to the turtle of knowledge.

Edit to remove a very dick-like post.

In light of what's been happening around here lately, my rant was pathetic and uncalled for.

oops, I think this might be my first 4 something... I knew that the photo was not DPC friendly, but I did it anyway, lol.... now I can join the crowd, but I'm not going to complain about it, though I thought my "bokeh" (there wasn't much) pic sucked worse than this one.. hmm... I may get lucky with a 5.0

hehehe... oh well, I still like the pic at least, which is a lot more than I could say for my bokeh entry

I'm confused by this comment, IMHO a good critique of an image should show duplicity, the commenter tells what they like or dont like about the image (a good commenter will say why). Your comment seems to say you just want people to either like or dislike your image? Its as easy to find a good point in an average image as it is to find fault with a good image.

It seems to me you are looking for the commenter to say simply 'Great shot' or 'this is crap' neither will help you in your Zen like travels through photography.

5.85ish

I am weeping in my beer because my 5.5 today was on the rise and the morning was looking well, no it is down to 5.3. I figured it to be a 5.7. Wo is me.

Thing is, any monkey can work out how I voted (if I haven't mentioned in comment), simply by the overall message in the comment. I'm not going to tell anyone that their image rocks, then proceed to give them a woeful score. That's just stupid. Why would I bother writing anything at all if it was going to be a lie?

It can be an outstanding image but not meet the challenge. Hence, "Your photo is amazing! 4!"
:P

Another edit to remove as much evidence as possible of my acutely embarrassing behaviour.

Can't help the quotes in reply though, so people please just ignore the rantings of a silly middle-aged man.

Sighhhhhh . . . . all commenters are not getting what I mean in the image, which obviously means I didnt do a good enough job on it. Why do I keep botherin in member challenges?

Hopefully to learn is why you keep bothering!

He will find his fish,
it will swim accordingly.
