Take out the <li> and </li> tags around the link code. The "li" stands for "list," not "link." Leave everything else alone. :)

Very cool on the links. Mind if I steel them and post them on my site?

Also I would like to be added if possible...?

I haven't read all posts in this thread and forgive me if I am asking a stupid or answered-previously question.

... but ... I could not possibly enter into a POTD commitment but would be VERY interested in a POTW event.

The question is ... is this newbie to DPChallenge too late to enter into this POTW idea?

Of course not! Get yourself some webspace set up and post the link. :)

Well I have been doing a photo of the day. I didn't know there was a photo of the week... //www.jasoncrossphoto.com

Should I be doing something diffrent?

I would like to post the links on my site, so that anybody that visit my site can find the other photo of the day/week sites as well.

Hey Boomtap,

Most of us here picked a project theme and are doing one photo a week focused on producing a themed body of work.

There is a list of links somewhere in this thread that splits people out between PAD and PAW; I added basically everyone no matter what they were doing...PAD or PAW, theme or no theme.

My links are here.

If you navigate to that page and right-click in your broswer window, you'll be able to View Source code and just copy/paste to your own site.

PS Yes, I added you already!

PPS It would be super awesomely cool if you had an RSS feed so I can add you to my Bloglines account.
01/06/2007 10:30:05 PM · #287
Great! I will add the links to my site.

Here is my RSS feed address.
//www.mrcross.org/jasoncrossphoto/component/option,com_rss/feed,RSS0.91/no_html,1/

I could add everybodies rss feed to my site's feed manager, and then one click and you could have a view of every update... Let me know what you think.
01/06/2007 10:36:08 PM · #288
Well, I use bloglines for that (just subscribed to you, too!) but it would likely be a great idea for people that don't have some kind of RSS feed reader already.

Thanks for the RSS link!

Edit: typo

I finally got around to posting my PaW theme(s)

I just posted the links. Looks like most of you have done the same. We have a pretty good network going!

Anyway I am posting the rss feeds to my site as well. It is handy, and there if you want to use it. I will try and tweak on all the features this week. If I missed you or something, just message me and I will fix whatever is wrong. The rss feeds will take a day or two to get the kinks worked out.

Would it be safe to call your theme 'People and Places of Austin'?

Took some doing, 49 feeds were added, and 69 links. Hope that helps, if not it was good exercise.
01/07/2007 03:35:05 AM · #293
Laurie, you've got my named linked twice, with two addresses. The photoblog is on the link with /photoblog in it.

Great ideas about RSS feeds. I'll look into that now - and I'll see if I can use your great list, boomtap. That will save a ton of time. Thanks.

Okay, added everyone till now... please check that you are there and that your link works :D

Thanks! :D

What's the common consensus, does the week start on Sunday or Monday?

I am going with Monday personally. My cellphone calendar starts on Monday, and it just makes fore sense for me that way.

I don't think it matters too much as long as your consistent with whatever you choose. I'll probably be going with Monday as well. :)

I promise, I will get around to putting y'alls links in eventually. . . .

I'm just running a bit behind right now

Can someone tell me about RSS feed stuff? What is it? How do you set it up?
01/07/2007 01:37:55 PM · #299
This sounds like fun. I hope my theme is focused enough. It can be seen here. Basically, life in central Iowa.

I'm looking forward to seeing everybody's PAW grow each week. I'll get everybody's link posted asap. :)

EDIT: I think i got everybody listed. If you see that I missed you, send me a PM and I'll be happy to add your link.

Thanks to ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_F.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_F.gif', '/') + 1) . ' L2 for helping me with my link arrangement. I didn't get columns, but my list link at Smugmug is more compact now.

I've put a Week 1 photo up.
