I'll be there! Looking forward to meeting so many DPCers!

I was so excited to see a GTG that I'd be able to make, but the 15th is opening day for my boyfriends racing... unfortunately I won't be able to make this one. :(

Anyone in Philly willing to car pool? I need transportation and I'm willing to split the gas bill.

Are we meeting our designated group at 10:00, or are we trying to get to he park by 10:00?

Our meet in Pitt didn't go as planned. Glad to see you'll make it this way.

Hopefully it'll be a little warmer, too!

So far, so good for me. I'll try to work something out with the local-folk.

Hey, Tony, any chance you could post a list of who's planning to attend?

If I can arrange for some baby sitting I will be there. If so, any other New Yorkers want to carpool? We could meet in Binghamton or Elmira or something.

So far, the people who have responded that they will attend the 1st Annual NE PA DPC GTG are:

1. TonyT
2. Spydr
3. eqsite (if he gets a babysitter)
4. Scalvert
5. OdysseyF22
6. Stiger
7. alanfreed
8. MAK (if anyone is driving in from England)

Please PM if I missed anyone so far. (This is harder to keep track of than I thought)

I'm 73.5% in.

I'm 72% certain that my schedule is open that day....

03/30/2007 09:24:15 AM · #60
So you're 1.5% sure you're coming even if you have other plans? Cool! Please pick up MAK on your way...

Precisely...

As a father and a husband, I'm never quite sure about 'my' schedule...until I'm in the middle of something somewhere wondering what the heck just happened and how did I get there?

I'm 100% in, I sent you a PM. Thanks for organizing this!

Send an 11x14 picture of your smiling face to the shower and come join us in person ;-)

Ha! I wish! I am going with my mom... so I HAVE to be there! *sigh*

I will endeavor to make it as well. I am in York, PA. I have a 7 passenger vehicle. So if others are in the area and wanted to come let me know. Then we could ride up together. (I am always more likely to go somewhere when I have a small contingent of others to ride along and make the travel less boring.)

:)

Just curious...is this the proper address/location for the park (ie: for use with google/yahoo maps):

Ricketts Glen State Park
695 State Route 487
Benton, PA 17814

Which parking lot will we all meet at? (You know, we need someone to make a large DPC flag. Just a pole with the blue ribbon banner on it. *lol*) Sure, you can just look for the group where everyone has a camera. But hey, it's hard to see cameras in the distance.)

Carpool from NYC anyone?
04/04/2007 05:16:32 PM · #72
In a previos post:

Our plans are to meet in two groups. One from the North and one from the South.

People from the North can meet me at the Wyoming Valley Mall Parking Lot at 9am next to the Chile's Resturant.

People coming from the South can meet Spydr at the McDonalds at the Danville Exit off Interstate 80.

We can then go in two groups to Rickett's Glen. We should be there at 10am, so people can go to the Park if they know where it is.

---- YOU can go to the park directly and be there at 10am. A flag would be a good idea. Does anyone have one?

The current list is now:

1. TonyT
2. Spydr
3. eqsite (if he gets a babysitter)
4. Scalvert
5. OdysseyF22
6. Stiger
7. alanfreed
8. Gryphx
9. theSaj

If I missed anyone, please PM me!

I'd like to do this, too. Coming from 4 1/2 hours away, I'd really prefer to just meet at the park... but I need to know specifically *where* the two groups are meeting up at 10:00.

I am rather confused on this whole two points meet up, then drive to the park?

Seems like that's only going to add to confusion. Where as right now, I simply need to find the park. I am now required to find two places I don't know. So I think I'll just meet everyone at the park.

Am I correct, that once we get to the park we will be "One Big Happy Group"

-----------

Also, what is the plan in case of rain, foul weather, etc?
