I'm not a size 12.

Women have thin arms.

It's easier than you think purchasing a dress without trying it on.

Women have narrow feet.

A woman did not design the zipper-up-the-back-of-the-dress.

There are 'extra' loop-straps on a dress the function of which baffles me.

Neighbors can be understanding, just not your own neighbors.

Black goes with everything.

Darn it, I *am* pretty.

Hell yea! I think the extra loop straps are for hanging on a hanger! :)
P.S. You have to try everything on!

Highly entertaining. Thanks for sharing. Does the name 'alfresco' take on more meaning after your experience?

So this is what people in Michigan do for fun, hehe.

Great picture - it's a riot!

I was unsure which dressing room to use ...

@Mark - I will not say :P

You look strangely comfortable in that setting.

Not only that, but you're good enough, you're smart enough, and, gosh darn it, people LIKE you. (anyone? anyone?)

Thanks for one of my favorite entries!

I learned that I can still work on the computer and edit entries as my wife would put the makeup on me. I also learned how fast I can get off the back porch and into the house upon hearing our neighbors back door open.

Yes, the loops are for hanging it on a hanger....ever see those two tiny hooks on a plastic hanger?

Loved that photo by the way.

And you are such a queen....hehehehe!

You were one of my 10's. It's like a still-life.

Funny observation.

LOL @ Tim.

I think too many people here enjoyed this challenge far too much!!

I am getting seriously worried!

Be careful...They'll kick you out of the U.P.!

I attempted a connection between the loops and the hanger dealy-bobs, the loops seem -at least to me- larger than they need to be. I will defer to those who know far more than I about such matters :)

@David - you might be surprised at how comfortable I was. The g-string and push-up bra took a little getting used to, but not much.

And so far the UP police have yet to knock on my door and drag my pink pansy butt out!

Thanks to everyone - and if you learned anything (such as admitting you think Tim *is* a winter) please feel free to share!

g-string and push-up bra? OK, those weren't even visible. Maybe you are enjoying this a little too much!

I seemed to have forgotten that the smell of cigar smoke hangs around for days and days and also that I want to go on a date with JP but only if he wears his pretty pink dress sans wig. ;-)
03/22/2007 11:13:55 AM · #17
JP is hot, but I would only go on a date with him if I first got photographic proof of the burning of the pink dress AND the wig! :)

I learned (once again) that:

1. If you go into public (for me college campus), and take a seat anywhere while in your dress, 95% of the people that walk by don't even glace at you.

2. If you sit down at a table (in the study lounge!) that already has people at it, they will become very uncomfortable, and your photographer will laugh so hard he can't even take a picture for 5 minutes. By that time everyone at the table is laughing.

3. If you go into the library dressed like that, you get a few looks, but the cop sitting there isn't paying enough attention to even notice you.

4. Old men like young men in dresses.

You'd be surprised how many times I've heard that.

Soooo - I'll land in Atlanta, have a girl's photofunfest with Jen -someplace that appreciates pinkwear- and we'll wind up the photofest burning the pink dress. Jen will present a photo essay on helping polish burn victims. After recovery I'll continue to FLA where Cindi will take photos of me trying to pet an alligator. She'll follow up with a photo essay on how to handle major trauma victims.

JP, I don't think polishing burn victims would be very comfortable to the burn victim. Though the polisher might, depending upon their preferences, find it interesting.

You can't burn the dress. It looks too good on you.

That shouldn't be too difficult around here. :)

Well, I'll document it with photographs but I draw the line at actually having to polish the burn victim, even if it is you JP.

I believe there's a GTG down there very soon. I'm sure they'd appreciate the practice in photojournalism and I think ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', '/') + 1) . You can bring the flamingo hat, JP - it will fit in around here & confuse the aligators :)

Try explaining this to Homeland Security...
