Hi there,

I found a thread that recommended setting my camera to F11, ISO 100 to get good fireworks shots. Does anyone have a FujiFilm Finepix S5200 and can help me figure out how to do that? I was able to get it to change to F8, ISO 100, but not any further than that. Also, in full manual mode, I could change the shutter speed but not the aperture.

HELP! Before the fireworks start!

If you were able to find out how to change the aperture and it would only go to f/8, I'm assuming thats all that your camera can go to. Although I do not know because I don't have this camera. In full manual, if you are able to change the shutter, again assuming, I think you should look for some other button to press while hitting the same button you used to change the shutter. Hopefully someone that owns this camera will chime in to help you.

In the last camera I owned (a Nikon), there was some sneaky way to get around the defaults and change the aperture even more. I was hoping there would be one for this one too!

probably different but in my manual mode you change the aperature by pushing a small button up on top to access it. Does your camera have SCENE modes? Use the firework setting under there if you can't figure it out.

edit to add: all mine taken (see other fireworks tread or profile) were taken on ISO 100, 3.5 aperature (forgot to change it) and shutter anywhere between 3 sec and 1.5 seconds.

Well, I was finally able to download my camera's user manual. I figured out that F8 is as far as it goes (Boo!!), and I also figured out manual mode.

What do you think of Auto Bracketing? I've never used it before.
