OK. I have about 10 pictures on iStock.com right now. I have had a few uploads, and of course, the money is little. I know as I get more uploaded, then I will have a slightly larger sum of money trickle in each month. However, is it worth it? Or is it more worth it to go to a macro site? What exactly can they do with these cheap downloads? Do they get the same permission that they would with macro, or is it different? I really would like to know if I am wasting my time and not getting paid enough. If the licenses are the same, then why would anyone do micro?

Big can o' worms.

Short answer: only you can decide that. Personally, I'm getting out of micro, but I can't say it hasn't been worth it.

you have a great camera why not try a better agency's first. Getty, Jupiter, Master File, Supper Stock. Make more per sale. Just my 2 cents

Are those micro or macro?

Should've saved your money. That could've bought you a picture on iStock.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

There are people out there who will pay money for manage rights photos. It's nice getting paid $200 for a limited run photo instead of giving images away for pennies.

Of course, I'm hoping people will stay on micro sites otherwise, I'll have more competition.

It's WELL worth it to me - but not for the reason you think.

I do a lot of graphic design, and iStock is my best resource. Where else could I get so much great work for SO CHEAP! Hate to say it, but it's so true. That is EXACTLY why I never got into micro.
