grrr - silly me... ::sigh::

okay, is anyone awake, that has a licensed (read "working/not protected") copy of Photoshow (or any variation, from Photodex). I have all of the images in order, the music file inserted & synched to the photos... only to find that my copy hasn't yet been unlocked ('cuz I forgot to tend to the minor details)

i would be very grateful if someone would accept a huge file, unlock/save it for me, and then send it back - please?

blame any incoherence on this being hour #25 since my day started LOL

update - thanks to Brad, I have uploaded a Photoshow file onto a website.

what I desperately need is for someone to (please?) download this file, use YOUR copy of Photoshow to save it in a way that doesn't show the little gold banner across the bottom, then send it back to me. oh - the file is nearly 30 MB!

I know this is asking alot, but it really is for a needy family.

thanks!

almost forgot the link! 'YouSendIt' storage thingy

I have proshow gold but it's only new and I'm not sure I can use it well enough to help you (sorry!!). Try Judi as she is the one who put me onto it and is probably better versed in the use of it.

I'm going to give it a try. I have my software here.

Edit - I'm blocked at work. I'm going to try it on my phone. Wish me luck.

I'll have to throw in a classic (well classic as of the '90s) wedding song; Marc Cohn's "True Companion".

It's a business phone with unlimited data.

It will be slow, but may work. I even have a storage card.

I certainly understand the flexible hour thing, but how does having flexible customers help in this situation? :D

Billy, sent a PM.

The file is downloading slowly. My PM will help get it done quicker.

Easy - in times like this, I ask if they need to pick up theirs cars at the end of the day, or would it be easier first thing in the morning. End of the day means traffic congestions too, working in my favor, as many don't like fighting the crowd. I also asked one customer that wanted to bring in a car for a coolant leak today, that though I couldn't guarantee to find or fix it today, could she leave it in case I didn't, and if not, could it stay overnight in case I needed to do it tomorrow. This way, I free up time and can do them at my leisure, after hours, staying late or overnight if needed, in order to get more important things done like this slide show.
;)

Just an update:
Billy is off to do something right now, followed by
getting some sleep. His slide show is great! Later on,
I'll be doing a web cam live tutorial with him to cut
down on the learning curve and show him about adding
panning, rotation, zoom effects in the slide show.

Just got a message from Brad. They've got a working copy, so I'll stop my very slow download.

Glad to hear that it's put together. Now, Billy, get some sleep.

I have proshow gold and downloaded your file and I was going to convert it for you, but it isn't in .psh format for ProShow Gold... it is in a file that I don't recognize. It is in .pxc file format. Did you save it in .psh format? If you did, upload it and I will convert it to a file that you can use

You are the man Billy! I just read the story and looked at the pics. Most touching and very happy and sad at the same time.

Powerful stuff.

Desert is waiting for you in your inbox.

Brad - you are right... THAT was dessert! (FYI - I been 'skooled' by a master LOL) very nicely done; glenda & i really enjoyed how much more powerful the presentation became!

Damn - now I owe ya, like, TWO whole beers er something! (wait; tell me you don't drink that watery yellow stuff with a lime stuck in it! LOL)

For everyone else: We host with SmugMug (shameless promotion & new-user coupon in my signature ;) - and they allow for video storage now too.

I'll try to learn how to do that next, and will hopefully post something in the next few days (we have 7 customers waiting, then this came up, and now we think this family might ask us to shoot the youngest son's wedding tomorrow night!)

Gray hair? hell no, its going straight to white! (my bday is this weekend too... no rest for the wicked!)
