Caught a show once on some hd PBS channel with this guy when he was out shooting those elephants. Really cool show, and he was talking about 'a new technique' he had developed to add a sense of motion to the final images. Never did elaborate, but yeah the shots are stunning.

Nice find. Probably the best wildlife photos I've ever seen. The PP really compliments the shots. I wonder what equipment/lenses he uses.

Really nice. How do you think he makes those animals stand out so nicely? Alot of dodging and burning I suppose. Nice work on darkening the skies.

Looks like he is shooting in infrared. While I am nowhere near as good as he is, I have found a similar effect with shooting infrared at the San Diego Zoo and my converted P&S Fuji camera. The IR naturally darkens the skies. These were taken on cloudy days so the sky is not as dark. Looks like some selective bluring on some of them. Great stuff.
