Hey guys. I've been working with SuperStock for a while now. Last spring I was approached by them to act as consultant in helping them create a new stock photography company - MediaMagnet. MediaMagnet is now almost ready to launch (next month!!) and are looking for contributing photographers who are interested in getting in on the ground floor. They are NOT a micro agency.

If you want to learn more, follow this link: //www.mediamagnet.com/photographers/sign-up.asp

Oh, please do mention my name if you join so I can get a little referral credit. :)

That's cool. So, ummm, do you get demerits if your referrals suck? =)

Looks like they're looking for professional with beefy cameras. =P Counts me out!

I'm guessing they're trying to specifically exclude the XT, while including the 20D. Don't they know it's smarts, lights, and lenses that make more difference anyway? =)

Thanks...

Filled out the application and put your name in the box asking where I heard about the site.

Thanks, dude!

Smurfy, their requirements match Alamy's, and SuperStock's reqs.

I checked Alamy's guidelines, and they require a minimum camera of 6 megapixels, requesting that you upsize to 48MB (16 megapixels).

Besides, Alamy doesn't have such a probing questionnaire. It seems to me that MediaMagnet is really trying to keep the bar high. Which is good for them I guess.

All the same, I don't feel I qualify as professional yet, nor do I really have enough stock-esque photos. =)

Nah, they're just excluding Nikon pros. By setting the limit at 8.2 megapixels they're excluding the Nikon D1, D1H, D1X, D2H shooters, but the only Canon excluded is the 1D.

Hey, guys. Wanted to mention.... MediaMagnet's launch date is scheduled for December 3rd. Any images sent to them before December 15th will recieve higher royalty rates for the life of those images!! :D
Since it takes about a week to get though Review, you'll have to get your images in pretty soon to take advantage of that great offer. I just got my first 100 submitted last night, hope to get another 100 or so ready & accepted by the 15th.

Good luck, all. :)
