Hi Tez are you going to come to the convention? If you want to be in Judi's workshops I suggest you book in soon as her ones have definitely been the most popular......

I don't want to be in Judi's workshops, but what convention is everyone going to? If it's in anyway affiliated with NZIPP then count me out :)

Its all at the beginning of the thread but here is the link to our website here it should be a good weekend :)

I agree Charlie, It should be a great weekend. For anyone that can't make the convention, there is a DPC GTG afterwards...so put your hand up if you want to be there for that.

It will either be the Monday or Tuesday. I'm kinda hoping the Tuesday so I can recover from what will be a full on weekend for me as a member of the organising committee. However I can see the logic of having it on the Monday if people who have travelled from out of town want to come. I guess I'm waiting for an indication of who wants to come to a GTG before setting details :)

I will have to play it by ear and wait for you guys to set the time and place. If it is close to Wellington I should have no problems making it.

Mt Victoria, Oriental Bay, Tepapa, Bum around by Queens Wharf, Cable Car? Botanic Garden is really nice and the Parliament. All are free apart from the Cable Car if you actually ride it. Could do them in the order listed. Start off at Mt Vic then venture down the hill through Oriental Bay stop off at Tepapa cut through Queens Wharf then head up on the cable car, Then walk back down through the Garden and photograph the Bee Hive or as I call it the big Wedding Cake. Best part is Public Transportation is cheap. 5 NZ dollars gets you a day tripper can ride all the buses all day. So it really opens up the entire city for adventure. Could tour around the Bays If you time it right and it is a clear day, The South Island would make a nice photograph. It was actually very visible this evening as the sun was going down nice orangish pink sky above. All the Mountains were showing. Only the second time in 3 weeks that we actually could see it. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous Red Rocks is pretty cool. Could see some Seals or Penguins We seen a Penguin the other day near Island Bay.

Because we spend our money too fast to save up for a trip like this. Even though we'd love to. I'd blame my wife, but I spend money faster than she does. *grin* Maybe I could blame my daughter? She's 9 and wont know it if I did anyway. *grin*

Providing the weather is nicer than we have today, Medium to Heavy Rain and a Wind that could blow you right out of your shoes.
