Hi Friends,

I am sure this topic would be asked many times and i have searched all over the forums but not found an answer for my exact requirements. There are too many answers and diff ppl have different view/likings and i am having a hard time to know which is the best for my requirements

I need something which has been tried/tested and compared and is the best as available today. As i am not a photoshop expert i cannot compare/judge with so many options available
So my requirements are such

i need a photoshop cs3 ACTION for my thousands of TRAVEL pictures i took from my digiSLR which will:

1. ONLY do these basic things but do it the best way: reduce noise, levels, sharpness and color
2. i do NOT intend any other fancy enhancements.

3. i do NOT intend prints. They will be available on the web in 800x600 file size or max 1200x800
4. They have to be light file size. arnd 150 to 200K per file is fine

5. The action should be completely automated. No human intervention except for maybe loading the file for processing
6. action should be preferably free, but paid will also can be looked upon

Your help will be extremely appreciated.

the adjustments you listed are really easy to achieve on your own.
just do the following:
1)open an image in photoshop
2)click on the action pallette (if it's not open, go to window-->actions or just press alt+f9)
3)click the second icon from the right that says "create new action"
4)name your action and click record

5)from now you just do your adjustments as you like them, remeber to always do these via the layer-->adjustments path so you can change them afterwards if you're not satisfied with the result of that automated action.
6)when you're finished with your adjustments, you should save the file as a psd file, then flatten, resize and sharpen again for the web version, then save that version in a seperate folder via file-->save for web.
7)click the left hand botton (a red square) to finish your action.

if you have adobe bridge you can now also process your photos in stacks, meaning you can select the photos you want to have changed in bridge, then select the action and photoshop will automatically process all the selected images one after another

hope that helps...

ETA: here's a step-by-step tutorial in case you can't quite follow my instructions...;)

Thanks for the reply.
But as i mentioned being a limited photoshop user i have no idea how to reduce noise, how to add watermark at bottom of image.
For me it is a learning curve.

So i need some ready made action.

Thanks

I'd search for some plugins....i.e. This weekend I bought a plug in for making comic pages...this does ALL the steps and just allows me to 'tweak' them.

Sounds like this is what you are looking for, something pre-made.

fyi I got the comic book from panosfx.com

purchase onone phototools it does all that for you. It even adds the watermark as well and save a tiff/psd and a sfw version if asked to
