My own pet project would be called Laundry - Proof of Life. The idea is that in pretty much every place in the world, laundry appears as the ultimate flag of humanity. Not just in the pitifully deprived places or the places ravaged by war (although those are certainly compelling settings), but also in the busiest cities and the most remote communities. The impulse to do our laundry is emblematic of who we are, and yet it so often passes without notice. And it also nearly always makes an especially interesting subject for photography.
This assignment is not suitable for me, because I don't travel enough any more, but I did propose it to my friend Zigomar and I hope he might tackle it in his travels. He has the right eye to do it justice.
