Thanks to everyone else that commented/replied. I have to say, I've never agreed with more people in my life, including the ones giving criticism; not that you didn't say anything new, but that everything you said made me go "OH!!!" and end up agreeing with you.
Thanks again.

How do you see this at 4800x800? All I see is 800x133.
(Asked also because I tried to put a large pano here and ended up linking to the jpeg hosted on my personal website.)

Thanks to all three of you, and to vlado, who also left a comment. In response to vlado's comment, I didn't actually let Hugin do the stitching, because it put some sharp lines in the image. I gave it control points and it did the calculations (brightness, white balance, camera distortion, and rotation) and gave me images that I could line up pretty well (there was still a bit of distortion) and "blend" in Photoshop, but I had to do the blending myself. Took me about a half an hour just to stitch them because of all the waves not lining up and people in the water moving around, and then I had to do some color adjustments because white balance had been set to "auto" in the original shots.

I did this panorama sometime toward the end of summer last year, and I have yet to get a comment on two other sites to which I submitted it... so I thought I'd submit it here and see what you think of it. So if you have the time, tell me the good and the bad. Viewing at full size is probably best - it's a 4800x800 image, 777 KB. Thanks!
ETA: I know it's not exactly "stealable material," but I thought I'd add... please don't steal it!
