VERY pretty! And no, I'm not getting that for you, either! (Still working on getting my own new aluminum steed, you know...)

Why not! Lol. I haven't been posting too much in the miles per week thread, but I am serious comtemplating competitive racing, and this bike would be a monster. Too bad though, Cost of Bike = Cost of 7D = Cost of New 27 inch mac - $700...

Decisions, decisions. Haha

I found a bike on CL that I might pick up...$150, tuned, lubed, waxed and all that jazz, and its the right height too.

Bike - really really pretty. Love how the Cannondale name just blends right in. Skip the iMac. Splurge and get the bike and the camera... :-) (I are a very, very bad influence...)

Edit - here's the one I want but not all that fond of this year's color. Last year's was black. Trek WSD bike

I am starting my xmas shopping this weekend I think. I am snagging the wife this pair of "ED HARDY - STACEY" evening shoes. Trying to find a better deal, but it looks like I'm stuck paying $170 for em. Oh well...its our first married xmas, so its ok to splurge a bit.

Cute peep toes! Have you tried ebay??
11/18/2009 01:15:33 PM · #34
I did, they only have 3 colors on there, and she likes the red or the navy blue. Every online store I've found has them for about 170ish, so I'll just bite the bullet and go to the joint up the street.

We were going through town and she tried them on at this boutique, loved em, then found out how much they were and said no thanks. Then a week later, were sitting at the bar, and she says something like "You konw what? I miss those shoes" so thats that.

Take it from an old fella... gifts are like high jumping. The first jump simply sets the lowest you can go :O)

Yep, I completely understand the "missing" part.. I am totally "missing" a necklace I saw at Tiffany's recently!! Sounds like you've found the perfect gift! Happy 1st Married Christmas! :)

I can't call it a "Christmas wish list," because no one would ever buy these for me. But they are in my "next 6 months' paychecks" plan:

AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G VR ($540 new)
AI-S Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/4 (~$250 used in great condition)
D90 ($810 new, or $1250 with the first lens)
SB-600 ($220 new)

How does the actual exchanging of things occur? I mean obviously via mail, but without the addresses...can one participate anonymously?

For physical items, there has to be both a sending and receiving address. Unless you can do it via escrow, somehow... kind of kills the holiday spirit. :-)

Edit: one way is to post Amazon wish lists, which keep both of you anonymous when you purchase for the wisher via the list.

Here is a specific wish for anyone living in the southern states.

I NEED SOME PISTACHIO ALMOND BLUE BELL ICE CREAM!! The farthest north I have found it was Nashville, TN.

Please, Langdon, Please give me a UserBlock feature. Look at the front page threads: you know we need it, you know I'll pay extra for it :-)

I would be so happy to find that under the DPC Tree

Can I have it, huh, can I? Can i?
