This has been an exceptionally bad year for me. My mom has been sick and in a bad life situation. My two 19 year old, most beloved cats died within 10 days of each other (just very recently). Another furball died this March. So really, I want a better year - and years. I want my mom to quit smoking so her quality of life will improve. I want everyone to stop dying for a minute.

On a more mundane side, I want a new bed and lenses. Specifically these below. Since my birthday is right after Christmas, I'll probably get myself something along those lines.

Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM Lens for Canon

Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM

Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM

Edit to add - a food processor!! I SOOO need one of those!.

Thanks for starting this thread, Kat. I'll have to come back tomorrow and see whom I can send something.

I would like the same thing I asked for last year.

Prints from my fellow DPCers.

I will keep an eye out for wishes I can fill this year.

I have everything I have ever wished for. I have everything I have ever needed. Now to the list of things I want.

14-24mm 2.8, a 400mm 2.8, a D-700, a New Harley, a New Guitar Amp, a couple of maids and nanny's to help out around the house. A bank account with endless money. Peace on Earth and one night of naked fun with Jennifer Aniston. Which My wife has already approved. She said if Jennifer is that desperate, She can have me.

How many did you get last year? Did you hang them anywhere?

I'm dying to have a large format camera (4x5/8x10) so if anyone has one lying around in their lumber room and wants to part with it I'm in for a barter!

My wishes are a bit to big for the forums this year.

I want my 1DMKIV to ship, I want a peaceful, painless end to my wife's Uncle's battle with Cancer, and I want my son to get in the clinical trial for the new medicine that may slow down the progression for his disease. Beyond that and a day job that I enjoy and can afford the healthcare insurance for my family at, I'm pretty well set this year.

I got 5 last year. They are framed and hanging all over my ma's house (I don't have the wall space here just yet and I spend a LOT of time @ her house). They feel like Christmas all year round :)

I have been pretty lucky this year, my daughter is back home after a year away, I have a new job that I enjoy and we are all healthy. Some little wishes:

Some fun to read books, I am out of reading material
Funky socks (I ask for these a few years ago and got some really fun ones)
Topaz Adjust
I collect masks, so anything to add to my collection

Now to go see if I can fulfill a few wishes.

Matt - it's good to post your wishes here. We can all help you focus on fulfilling them - even if we can't send them in the mail. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts.

Thank you, my wife's uncle passed about an hour ago. He can now be pain free.

Matt, sorry to hear this. I'll keep you all in my prayers. We went through this in May. We wished that my uncle would be pain free and now he is. ;)

Thank you and I'm glad that your uncle is also no longer in pain. Now back to other peoples wishes.

This very specific edition. Apparently almost impossible to find now anywhere near its original price.

Nice!! And no, I'm not getting it for you.

I can send you the copy I carried around in my back pocket!

Aw come on, there must be someone who would like this. It's only sitting in my cupboard now and I would rather let someone get some use
out of it.

I'm trying my hardest to become a better photographer and this site is helping me do it. A couple things I would wish for would be some photoshop filters. I have LucisArt and Photomatix but that's it in terms of filters. I also need a new wide angle lens (yeah, a bit expensive). My dogs knocked over my 18-70 Nikon and the glass shattered, so I'm down to just my 50mm and 70-300 Sigma. It's been a great experience limiting my self to using the 50mm but I sure would like a wide angle!

In terms of personal wishes....I really want to make a difference in people's lives and I believe I can do that through photography but I just need to find the opportunities. Part of that may be happening in the form of becoming the photographer for the Relay for Life events in my area. Still waiting to hear back but I think it will happen!

This is great that this is happening on this site. It's such a great community and I'm trying to get more involved!

My one wish would be for a gorilla pod - the one that can handle my Canon 50D with the 70-200mm lens on it.
