The idea

I decided by day one to use a transparent sheet for my shot. I had a few ideas but decided to go with a poem. The poem I used is written by Tupac Amaru Shakur and the book I took it from is called The Rose That Grew From Concrete. I picked out some of my favorite poems in the book, scanned them and printed them out on a transparent sheet. All the poems in the book are handwritten by 2pac himself.

The Location

I drove around my city to look for some good locations. I found several good ones but it didn't quite work out holding the transparent sheet on my own and shoot as well. So when I got home I decided to use my backyard.

The shot

I needed some help to get my shots. My sister held the transparent sheet in front off some flowers while I took the shots. I took some shots, looked at them and made some adjustments to get it just right. It took me about 15 minutes to get the shots and I took 50-60 shots.
