| Love this shot. The earth tone colors, the DOF, the extra sharp appearance. Wonderful job. Also, the glimpse of the creek is one of the things that really stand out, making the picture that much better. Without it, "up the creek" wouldn't have been AS fitting. But it's a perfect euphemism for this shot. Beautiful! 9 |

| I love that little hint of blue water tying in with the blue tones of his wings and head. Nice composition. |

| A closer look at the heron would have improved this but only a little - the detail, even at a distance, is sharp and viewable. Like the concept, like the title and like the tonality of the picture. Nicely done. |
